Taiwan Hosts Asia's Largest Pride Parade

Taiwan's capital city of Taipei hosted Asia's largest pride parade on October 31st, 2020, drawing thousands of participants and supporters from around the world. The event marked the first pride parade to be held in person since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme of this year's parade was "Together, Make Taiwan Better," and it focused on issues such as marriage equality, transgender rights, and HIV/AIDS awareness. The event was organized by the Taiwan LGBT Pride Community, which has been hosting the parade since 2003.

The parade was a celebration of Taiwan's progress on LGBT rights and a show of solidarity with other countries in the region that are still fighting for equality. It also served as a reminder of the importance of community and activism in the fight for LGBT rights, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
